How this split bill calculator works
The calculator adds the subtotal, fixed fees, and tip. It then divides the resulting total by each person’s relative weight. Any unavoidable cent remainder is allocated deterministically so the individual shares always add up to the total.

How is a rounding remainder handled?
The calculator allocates unavoidable minor-unit remainders deterministically, so every share adds up exactly to the final bill total.
Can I use a percentage instead of weights?
Yes. Enter each agreed percentage as a relative weight, as long as all weights are positive. For example, 50 and 50 create an even split.
